Daniusoft DVD to iPad Converter is a DVD ripping tool. It allows you to copy your DVD movies and convert them into formats that can be played on the iPad. The application can convert files to MPEG-4 and H.264 using the MP4 container, and these files can be played on the iPad natively. It can also output files into MOV, M4V, and XviD for video and MP3, M4A, and WAV for audio. These audio formats allow you to rip the audio track of a DVD movie and save it to a file that you can listen to on any player.
Graphically, Daniusoft DVD to iPad Converter has a standard-looking interface with a nice color-scheme. It is intuitive and practical. There is a video player for quick video preview and a video editor for basic edition tasks.
This ripper has two operating modes. The normal mode allows you to rip most DVD movies, but there are some movies that ship with better encryption than others. The advanced mode is supposed to be of help when you encounter a movie that can't be opened using the normal mode.
In my testing, I converted a single DVD title into the iPad HD profile. The resulting file had crisp video and good-quality audio. It played fine on VLC.
